PERMIT INFORMATION / APPLICATION LINK: Town of Dillon – Special Event Permit
TURNAROUND TIME: The Special Event Permit Application needs to be submitted to the Town of Dillon’s and Recreation Department no less than sixty (60) days prior to the event. A $50 application fee is due at the time of submittal. Applications will not be reviewed until payment is received. They do not expedite applications and have turned events down due to late applications.
INFO: Everything must go through a special event permit application first before contacting Town.
A Town of Dillon business license will also be required if the permit is approved.
An additional drone permit will need to be issued by the Police Department for all commercial drone footage.
Dillon is surrounded by multiple jurisdictions that also require a permit for filming. For example, the Dillon Marina is considered Dillon proper, however, the reservoir would fall under DRReC. Please contact the appropriate jurisdictions.
