PERMIT INFORMATION / APPLICATION LINK: Summit County permit application [pdf]

Please use this application link and not the online events form.  It is understood that  some of these questions do not relate to filming requests, so please fill out the application to the best of your ability.

TURNAROUND TIME:  Applications need to be submitted a minimum of 45 days prior to the event. They understand that this timeframe does not often work for filming events, so their recommendation is for applicants to submit their applications as soon as possible. A two-week minimum is needed to be able to review and approve a request.

INFO: Film permit requests are approved by the Open Space and Trails Department through their special event permitting process.

The special event website has a list of permitted events and their locations. It is the responsibility of the event organizer to ensure that the date and location of your event does not overlap with another event.

Applicants are responsible for obtaining additional permits/permission from the U.S. Forest Service, Towns, CDOT, Denver Water, Ski Areas, and other private landowners whose property may be impacted.

If your event will be within the Dillon Reservoir Recreation Area, you will need to apply for an additional DRReC special event application.
